Not true—in fact, they love to hear from their constituents! And there are lots of ways to reach them.
The easiest is to access their website, which you can find by doing a search on the internet entering just their name, office and state.
Once there, click the ‘contact’ link, type a message and send it. Zap! Just like that…..it’s done!
Or you can visit them in person, either in one of their offices in your state, or at their main office in Washington DC! That information can also be found on their website.
You can even call their office--- remember, they want to hear from you! Find the closest number to your home and dial them up!
Citizen participation is a cornerstone of our democracy, so make sure you communicate!
